Complete Speedtech Performance’s Pro Touring Front Sub frame for the 68, 69 70, 71, 72, 73 and 74 Nova is designed as a bolt-in package that will take your X body to an entirely new level of performance!

NOTE:Sub Frame is not painted, it is raw material.

Viking Warrior "True Coilovers" have the same internals as the smooth and hybrid shocks, however they utilize a non tapered 2 1/2" coil spring to control spring rate. For use in both front and rear applications, this type of shock opens up more tuning through a wide range of different spring height and rate options ranging from 175 up to 750 lbs. They also use a bearing type upper mount that allows a more fluid travel through the shock's range of motion.

Speedtech Tubular Control Arms are constructed from CNC mandrel bent DOM tubing. Uppers are constructed of 1.25" diameter, .120 wall while lowers are 1.50" diameter, .156 wall tubing. All plate components are laser cut and CNC formed for exact tolerances, TIG welded to the tubing, and then the assemblies are powder coated gloss black.The upper arms are assembled with strong and corrosion free 304 stainless steel cross shafts that feature a special offset machining process. This allows two different base camber settings during alignment. Both upper and lowers receive non wearing greasable Delrin bushings, urethane bump stops, and grade 8 hardware. Performance ball joints featuring forged housings, full spherical pins and CV style dust boots are then installed and custom free moving spherical bearing mount sway bar end links wrap up the lower arms. For this price you can't find a better quality tubular control arm.

Speedtech sway bars utilize high strength tubular DOM steel to maximize performance at up to half the weight of a solid bar. All bends are performed on computer-controlled tubing benders to provide consistent bends in a sway bar that fits right every time. Quality shows in the details such as end treatments that taper smoothly from round to flat to eliminate stress risers, while ends are radiused for a clean appearance and better clearance. All sway bars come powder coated Gloss Black

Speedtech rack and pinion system gives you a more firm feel, quicker response from driver input, and faster navigation through the turns.

The next step to your rear suspension upgrade and perfect match for our Torque Arm Suspension System is a new heavy duty rear axle. These 9" Ford axles for 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73 and 74 Novas are stronger than stock and include a Trutrac center section, heavy duty gears in your choice of ratio, 31 spline axle shafts, and all new bearings. Standard on all rear axle packages are 9" Ford style housing ends for easy brake package selection and eliminating c-clips on the 12 bolts. Our axle packages have our Torque Arm brackets jig welded on for a direct bolt-in fit. Ford 9" housings are also available without 3rd members. All axles come raw finish.

Assembly Tip: Gear Oil, Additive and Break-In
Use a gasket or 100% silicone to seal the cover or third member to the housing. Use only high quality name brand gear oil and fill the differential until the oil spills out the plug hole. Positraction carriers require anti-friction additive. All new gear sets require a break-in period to prevent damage from overheating. After driving the first 15 or 20 miles you must let the differential cool for 30-40 minutes before proceeding. Drive 500 easy miles. Change the gear oil after those first 500 miles. This will remove any metal particles or phosphorus coating that has come from the new gear set. Any overloading or overheating can cause the gear oil to breakdown and the Ring & Pinion can fail.

1.The dual-rate spring coil springs will allow the vehicle to transition small road irregularities via a soft spring rate. When the vehicle compresses the spring far enough (through large bumps or cornering), it transitions to the firmer spring rate to control the bump or body roll. 4. OEM rubber control arm bushings allow too much deflection on the control arms. Poly bushings resist smooth rotation and impose stiction. Delrin bushings eliminate the deflection AND the stiction, leading to a huge improvement in both ride quality and handling.
5.Most OEM front suspension geometry, in addition to being designed over 50 years ago, induced "positive camber" when cornering (loaded tire leans away from the turn). This is a huge compromise in cornering performance and feel. By installing a taller set of balljoints, we reposition the control arms to correct this condition and create a much more stable and enjoyable driving and cornering experience.
6. 50lb weight savings in unsprung weight will improve handling and ride quality. These composite leafs also incorporate more torsional strength so any "spring wrap" is diminished. The billet leaf spring eyelets help achieve the desired stance.

The ability to properly setup the chassis and tune to individual track conditions is one of the basic fundamentals for achieving low lap times. Adjustable spring rate, ride height, and shock dampening are a vital part of that tuning process. True coilover shocks allow for all these to be done in one easily adjustable package, while avoiding issues where other coil and shock combinations fall short. Speedtech created the Chicane Coilover Kit for 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73 and 74 Novas so that coilover shocks can be installed and put to use in your factory frame!

Designed to be welded in place of the factory upper shock mount this 68-74 X body kit converts the factory shock mount to a double sheer coilover mount for use with coilovers with a t-bar lower mount. Unlike other kits on the market, being able to make tuning adjustments without removing any components from the vehicle was a primary design goal for the Chicane coilover kit. It allows easy on-car adjustment of rebound, compression, and ride height up to 2 1/2". Since the factory upper control arm mounting bracket remains unaltered, the kit can be used with factory stock or Guldstrand modified frames. Engine removal is not a requirement for installation. Welding of the Chicane coilover kit is basic and straight forward, and can be completed by a certified welder within an hour. We have two kits available, the base kit is perfect if you already have t-bar lower coilover mount shocks, and the complete kit includes Ride Tech Single adjustable coilover shocks.

*Note* Typically small block/ LS engine kits will come with 550 lb. springs, big block applications will come with 650 lb. springs.

New, Speed Tech Tubular Lower Control Arms for 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73 and 74 Nova are CAD designed tubular Control Arms are constructed from CNC mandrel bent 1.50" diameter, .156 wall tubing DOM tubing and are a direct bolt on fitment. All plate components are laser cut and CNC formed for exact tolerances, TIG welded to the tubing, and then the assemblies are powder coated gloss black.

During assembly control arms receive non wearing greasable Delrin bushings, urethane bump stops, and grade 8 hardware. Global West lower tubular lower A-arms for 68 - 74 Nova. Fit standard coil springs.


These are fully assembled lower control arms with Top of the line Del-a-lum bushings. You will receive tubular lower arms, Del-a-lum bushings, rotating spring cushions, lower bump stops, ball joints, and related hardware for ball joint.

Global West's tubular lower arms are perfect for stock or performance suspension upgrades. Both arms are supplied with ball joints, bump stops, control arm bushings, and a innovative rotating spring cushion. The control arms also provide additional header tube clearance, requires no frame modifications and are assembled for your conveyance.

Note: The arms are sold in pairs, only one kit is required per car. USE WITH SUS-401 for a Matching Upper Control Arm Set.

Why a rotating spring mount?

There are a three reasons why we built a rotating spring pocket.

1. A lot of people cut the coil spring to obtain a desired ride height. When you cut the spring, the spring will no longer line up in the lower arm or upper frame mount . In some cases this can cause the spring to make noise rubbing on the edge of the pocket. In this case the spring cushions solves the rubbing issue and by rotating it provides a way to re-index the spring.

2.The spring will be indexed properly around the coil. If you will notice most tubular lower control arms have a flat plate that the spring sits on. There really is no index. This places a lot of load at the very end of the coil spring rather than on the full coil. Over time this will fatigue the coil spring. Sag may occur.

3. Ride height adjustments can be made by shimming under the spring pocket.

This upper control arm kit supports road racing, auto cross and street applications. Global West in the early 90's was the first to introduce a standard tubular arm for the market that had caster built into it. Caster is used for improving the cars handling and straight-line stability. These powder coated control arms are shipped assembled with ball joints, billet cross shafts, bump stops, and Del-a-lum bushings. This A-arm set uses Del-a-lum bushings as a standard component over polyurethane.
