Description   1968 - 1974 Nova Speed Tech 9" Rear Suspension Torque Arm Housing with 3" Tubes, Ends & Axles New, Rear suspension 9 inch torque arm housing with 3" tubes and ends for your 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73 and 74 Novas. This housing includes axle shafts and is equipped with 1968 - 1974 Nova Torque Arm brackets welded on and the big ford new style ends. Be sure to denote what width you need when ordering. This is uncoated. Assembly Tip: Gear Oil, Additive and Break-In Use a gasket or 100% silicone to seal the cover or third member to the housing. Use only high quality name brand gear oil and fill the differential until the oil spills out the plug hole. Positraction carriers require anti-friction additive. All new gear sets require a break-in period to prevent damage from overheating. After driving the first 15 or 20 miles you must let the differential cool for 30-40 minutes before proceeding. Drive 500 easy miles. Change the gear oil after those first 500 miles. This will remove any metal particles or phosphorus coating that has come from the new gear set. Any overloading or overheating can cause the gear oil to breakdown and the Ring & Pinion can fail. NOTE: The Rear Diff is Not Coated and is Raw material. Part Number: SUS-531-NV
